Overview
The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company is a nonprofit professional theatre organization founded in 1997 dedicated to bringing Shakespeare’s works to audiences of all ages. Each summer, the company hosts the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival at California Lutheran University, featuring two of Shakespeare’s plays. For this project, I was tasked to design an original poster for their production of Hamlet. The director challenged me to move beyond conventional imagery and instead focus on visually conveying the play’s central theme of power.

Outcome
The final poster was used to promote the Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival’s production of Hamlet, clearly communicating event details while visually representing the play’s central theme of power. The design was also adapted for mailers distributed throughout the community.
